Vidar is happiest in the woods, taking long hiking trips, especially to places he hasn't been before. Early dawn, you may find Vidar in his little cabin, packing his red rucksack to the brim with maps, a book, water and lots of tasty food - enough supplies to journey to new, faraway places in the forest.
Vidar's warm herringbone tunic is made of black and gray yarn-dyed cotton flannel. His sleeves are yarn-dyed cotton, his legs cotton velveteen and his warm hat is cotton velveteen, topped with an organic cotton yarn tassel. We've constructed his boots from a beautiful faux-leather textile made from pineapple leaf fiber, called Pinatex - it is sustainably sourced and cruelty free.
From Vidar's shoulder, hangs his rucksack. It is made with ultrasuede and decorated with organic cord and organic cotton yarn. (Please note that we are in the process of transitioning to the newest uiltrasuede, which is 30% plant derived). A small gold glass bead hangs from his bag.
Vidar's face is bamboo felt. His eyes are hand blown, hand painted German glass. His beard is handmade from natural flax fiber (grey). He is stuffed with a combination of recycled glass pellets and organic cotton stuffing. His arms are wired and his head turns.
Vidar is 14" tall (12" when seated), as measured from the top of his head (not the top of his hat) to the bottom of his boots.
Vidar comes with a "Folklore of the Nisse" story tag.
All of our dolls are 100% vegan.
