A representative of Endre is shown in the photo above. We use no molds for our figures. Each face is handsculpted, one at a time, which means each face is slightly different and will not look exactly like the face in the photo. This is what makes each handmade doll unique.

Endre has a very special job - he is a forest messenger. He travels for miles over hills and over rivers, even over mountains, to deliver letters between the woodland folk. There's always someone waiting, scanning the woods to spot Endre as he comes up their trail, with tidings from friends in his mail bag!
Endre is 14" tall (12" when seated), as measured from the top of his head (not the top of his hat) to the bottom of his boots. Endre's rich, heavy woven tunic is made of viscose/linen fabric. His sleeves are linen (edged with organic cotton yarns), his legs are cotton velveteen and his hat is cotton velveteen, topped with an organic cotton yarn tassel. His boots are ultrasuede, as is his belt, from which hangs a brass key.
A messenger bag hangs around Endre's shoulder. We've constructed this bag from a beautiful faux-leather textile made from pineapple leaf fiber, called Pinatex - it is sustainably sourced and cruelty free. Two small silver glass beads dangle from his bag.
Endre's face is bamboo felt. His eyes are hand blown, hand painted German glass. His beard is handmade from natural flax fiber (grey). He is stuffed with a combination of glass pellets and organic cotton stuffing. His arms are wired and his head turns.
All of our figures are 100% vegan. Endre comes with a solid cedar seat (shown below), and a Legend of the Nisse story tag.
