Birk
Birk is dressed in a woven brown and tan cotton tunic (tweed-like in appearance, with a "flannely" finish), lined with cotton homespun in a tiny black and white check. The tunic has 3 tiny brown pom-poms down the front, and is cinched at the waist with a length of olive and beige woven woven cotton trim from Sweden.
He has pea-green woven cotton sleeves, with brown bamboo felt mittens, and brown hemp cloth leggings. He is wearing dark green ultrasuede boots with beige pom-poms and black lacings. A cotton velveteen hat in dark olive green, topped with a handmade unbleached organic cotton tassel, completes his outfit.
Birk's face is sewn from bamboo felt. He has green glass eyes and a brown cotton mohair beard.
The Birk shown to the left is a sample of the Birk elf doll. As all of the dolls are handmade and we use no molds, each Birk differs slightly, but the design and quality remain the same. Birk is signed by the doll maker.
