Andor''s beautiful tunic, legs and sleeves were created from gorgeous fabrics designed and made by one of the most eco-friendly companies around, Oecotextiles. Founded by two Seattle based sisters who wanted to make a difference, the company creates unique fabrics that are beautiful and interesting, yet kind to the earth - perfect for a little elf that lives in the woods and loves nature - but still wants to look good!
Andor's soft, thick tunic is made from a fabric that is 33% hemp, 19% linen, 21% ramie, 27% organic cotton, dyed with safe low impact dyes and softened with a combination of beeswax, aloe vera and vitamin E; it is lined with natural organic cotton. His legs are a bamboo pile and organic cotton fabric, and his intricately woven sleeves are long fiber linen that is grown, spun and dyed in northern Italy. All of these fabrics were obtained without the use of herbicides, pesticides or synthetic fertilizers. Andor's soft hat is organic cotton fleece, his boots are hemp canvas and his hat and boot poms are all organic cotton.
