Eighteen years of dolls!
The Folklore Doll Company is a small Maine company, that has been in business since 1992. Inspired by folklore and fairytales, all of our dolls are our original designs, which we make here, in our workshop in York, Maine. We handmake every part of every doll that leaves our work tables - right down to the tassels! We stand firmly behind their originality and quality.
Design Philosophy
The Folklore Doll Company is very committed to insuring that all of the dolls we make are 100% cruelty free and use no animal products. We also try to make our creations as eco-friendly as possible. Whenever we can, we use organic, biodegradable or recycled materials and low impact dyes. When deciding between fabrics or materials, we always make the eco-friendly choice, if it is available.
We are not where we want to be (100% organic), but as the availablity of green fabrics increases, we hope to
get there!
