Double, double, toil and trouble,
Fire burn, and caldron bubble
William Shakespeare's quote from "Macbeth" often springs to mind at
the mention of the word "witch", but literature and folklore
are filled with many other witch characters. These run the gamut
from the evil to the comical.
The witches on these pages, hopefully,
fall somewhere in between. They are intended to represent a type of witch that mighy
make up the citizenry of an imagined land, Ringebukingdom, where they are known
as good,
albeit somewhat peculiar, neighbors.
They live mainly in tidy little cottages, where they keep very busy.
They may pull a few little tricks and cut a few corners from time to time, but they are never evil.
